Re: A GOOD day ooh sounds lovely...enjoy, and that Choc Boy will return all pampered and partied out for a bit ;D
Re: A GOOD day I am having a good time - I'm curled up in front of a fire, with a view of the sea, reading "on talking terms with dogs" and keeping an eye on the forum, obviously. And I haven't even allowed myself ONE phone call to see how he is. They'll call me if there's a problem. (I bet I don't last the rest of the afternoon though!).
Re: A GOOD day Yes, just off to get my nails done! Wow, amazing how much more time you have without an injured puppy to look after. Normally, I'd have done 2 walks and a physio session by now, and argued with OH about whose fault it was that Charlie jumped on / ran after x, y, z...
Re: A GOOD day Bliss ;D I could do with some of that. Just off to walk the dogs in the pouring rain with a gale raging.....
Re: A GOOD day Got my hair done too That's enough though - I want Charlie back now. 48 hours is long enough without him. That's good, look forward to having him back tomorrow.
Re: A GOOD day
And all clear and on track at weekly weigh in (28.6kg - but we won't fuss over the 100g gain), with muscle bulk definitely confirmed as being restored on his right hind (hope the 100g is muscle!)
Oh no! 29.4kgs today! The vet took a dim view. That'll be all the special treats we used over the last 10 days for conquering the common walk : : . We're in the dog house...poor Charlie...salmon strips are obviously out. Honestly, I know all about it's not the dog that has the tin opener (not that he gets tins) but I swear this dog piles on weight unless I'm weighing every last kibble... Must push on with my research on raw - lots to read, and not much time though.
Re: A GOOD day julie don't worry to much, when jasper was on short lead walks and rest, he had no extra treats and put 3 kilo on,......he is now back to full fitness and the extra weight as come off
Re: A GOOD day
julie don't worry to much, when jasper was on short lead walks and rest, he had no extra treats and put 3 kilo on
Thanks Lynne, it's good to know we're not alone with the battle against the grams when on restricted exercise - and yes, I'm sure it'll be easier when not just on lead walks. Only Charlie has to stay thin before the surgery - we're under strict instructions from the surgeon. So we'll have to start counting out each bit of kibble again.
