Bit hard to explain but here we go .... when she's relaxed and having a fuss/stroke DD4DD makes a variety of noises. They sound like whining, whinging, yawning and squeeking. The sort of noises I've only ever heard before from a dog complaining about something but it definitely isn't that. She does it when a cat in the same situation would be purring. The more we talk to her all lovey-dovey to the more she does it Is it a Lab thing or something of her very own?
Re: Does anyone else's Lab do the whinge-speak thing? Mine does it too It's like a sort of groaning, but it's definitely a sign of happiness, she especially does it when we are stroking her.
Re: Does anyone else's Lab do the whinge-speak thing? Obi growl-groans when he gets a scratch/rub/massage like that. Goofy ears, wagging tail, leaning into the scratch/rub and growl-groaning.
Re: Does anyone else's Lab do the whinge-speak thing? Honestly, Charlie sounds like a hump back whale in the morning - whale squeeks, moans, groans, noisy yawns, a sort of doggy meow when his tummy rub is over and he turns and stretches for his back massage...and this is all before he'll even think about getting out of bed....
Re: Does anyone else's Lab do the whinge-speak thing? It all sounds familiar .... fascinating to find out it is a Labby thing
