He is having his KC innoculation next week so we will get him checked over fully then and book his x-rays in for definite.

Some days he is happy others he is grumpy.

There could be a slight reason that he has not had any joint stuf for the past 3-4 days as he has either been on chicken and rice or not eaten it, so he could be in pain.

She spent the whole evening either on my lap or dads, no physical damage done found a few old scratches on her but nothing new.

Booked in for his KC booster for tommorow, when we are there going to get him fully checked over, and his ears looked at as they are causing him issues again.

When we are there we are going to set the date for his x-rays, no turning back now, he needs them done, sooner rather than later. Worried about what the results will show, especially for his hips. Last night when grooming him he got a bit snappy when going over his hips and back legs even with a soft massaging brush getnly sewwping over him :(, not a good sign. But then again i got a poo bag full of hair out of him, so it needed doing

Only a dog owner uses a 'poo bag full' as a unit of measurement ;D ;D ;D

Yep, not enough to fill a carrier bag but enough to fill a poo bag ;D, best measurment as they are basically all the same size, poo bag size

Not a good day for barley today, lots of limping, first on front, then on back.

Had 3 small walks, instead of one long walk, around 30mins each, but going at a literal snail pace, all he wanted to do was walk, no trotting like usual, just walk :(.

Not long til x-rays now, just hang on in there barley, only a week and a bit o go.

The bad weather is not helping either, rain has made the park a mud pit, so not even a chance for some light execise on soft ground, just road walks on concrete, the cold is making him worse bu can't turn the sun up, only can use a warm coat on him and give him a nice warm fire to lay infront, well he is supposed to lay infront of it but puzzle hogs it, and proceeds to worship it ::).

Rest for a couple of days now, done 4 massage sessions with him today, and put a heat pack on him twice, gav him the highest anti-inflamatory does for his weight tonight to help him to get up in the morning, then back on normal does tomorrow :(

:'( poor Barley, I hope Puzzle will give him a little corner in front of the fire. I hope you'll get to the bottom of it all after the X-rays and that you'll be able to start some kind of treatment soon. In the meantime you are doing a great job trying to keep him comfortable...Give him a gentle pat from me!

He managed a little stroll down the road yesterday so he could go for a wee and sniff.

He got so exited when i told him walkies and kitted me and him out for the bitterly cold outside, it waslike he had not been walked for weeks ::). so he is feeling better, not going to over do it, just gentle strolls, and going at his pace to give him some stimulation and he can do a river of barely wee ;D.

x-rays are booked for the 21st, so next friday. Just because i will be at home all day on saturday so can tend to his every need and make sure he is comfortable and stop puzzle from pestering him. They might be cancelled if dad dos not have enough money, but fingers crossed he does not cancel it

    Re: Poorly boy

Had an after dark walk last night, went out at 9:30pm, was very quite so a lovely little stroll round the block.

That was pushing it a bit far for me as i don't like going out by myself after dark, its scary out there, and barley thinks that same too, every sound makes him and me jump, but there are never any dogs out this late, a few cats but we can handle that, not dogs he had a bad reaction to one the other day.
