I'm not a watcher of Eastenders but I'm aware of the challenging subjects they've dealt with in the past and I hope they do thus subject matter justice for all those dogs that have no-one to speak for them :'(

Well how about that. Will he interesting to see how the dog breeding storyline evolves. I don't watch EastEnders (though now I have the tune stuck in my head) but would like to know how it turns out.

I don't think they will Barbara, I do watch Eastenders, the family are short of cash and see that breeding from the Bulldog can make them a lot of quick cash. It all goes wrong when they Bulldog is left unattended and is mated by the local lovely mongrel, so not sure how the story line will pan out. Very irresponsible story line and totally gives out the wrong message :'(

I don't hold out much hope for e decent end to this storyline.

Twice they have had a parrot as part of a story and both times the birds escaped but there was no upset, no search - in fact they were never mentioned again. Absolutely infuriated all the parroty people. :(

    Doesn't sound promising, does it.

I guess it's a soap, not a government-funded education campaign, but still..... You'd think they could do better.

One of the main characters had a boxer puppy for a while. It just … disappeared out of the story line.

I would when you consider the thought they put into their controversial story lines with the people cast members. I'd rather they didn't have any dogs in the soap than misrepresent or gloss over the issues :(

I do the licence and tax payer funding of the BBC - rightly or wrongly - means people have higher expectations than for other channels. Um...I think this is right, to an extent anyway.
