Good: Took him to SAR training with us today as it was a short training session. Worked on his recall, making some process ish. Using the method we have found easiest to teach and learn it, total recall was not working for barley sadly, as he had no enthusiasm to do. Still using whistle but not as primary command. Using his favourite treat: cat wet food, as his reward, went down a treat. Got through 2 packs of wet food. On long line the whole time, too close to a road to tempt letting him off lead. He had a walk before and after his training session, through the forest with lots of new smells, so a nice different walk for him. Only saw two other dogs that were not on the SAR team, so minimal distractions or emergency about turns, well apart from the walkers that barley decided that were very scary and needed to be barked at, and the jogger that came round the corner, surprised us both but no growling just very intent look. After his final walk we done some control work, going up and down the ramp, paw lifts while standing,walking backwards. Then cooled of with a nice massage. Bad: Went for one of the SAR dogs that got too near him, not a growl a proper teeth going full on (he really does not like puppies since puzzle has some come, or brown dogs since one went for him at a show). And he is now limping a bit from the amount of walking, trotting, galloping, tree jumping, puddle dodging that he done. Overall he had a great day, had a lovely walk, got to eat lots of yummy cat food, worked on his recall. he was a happy dog walking through the forest, and jumping over fallen trees and branches. He did trip over a couple of times when he got caught up in some brambles after straying off of the path, nothing major. He is now snoring in front of the fire, one very tired and happy dog

X [/quote] Yep, he gave them the 'Look'. he usually lunges at them but i think that because he shocked him he did not know what to do except stare ;D
Re: The good and bad for barley today back to normal today, no limping, just tired well apart from when the word walkies is mentioned, he was up like a shot and ready to go again ;D, just waiting for dad to finish his coffee, i think we are going to the see side today as a bit of a change and the sun is out so might as well enjoy it while we can ;D
