Just been out for a couple of hours of very blustery beach walk. It was so windy the sand was blowing off the surface of the beach giving a sand-blasting effect to anything less then a foot in height - pity the poor terriers that were there this morning! Anyway, the girls had a complete blast, much tearing about after a tennis ball and general hooning about together. Tarka had some seriously hard exercise on soft sand today, and no hint of lameness. She has been exercise restricted then gradually rehabilitated since the middle of November, so it's been a long slow process but we seem to have made it safe to the other side. Good enough to resume gundog duties, so we are going pigeon shooting on Friday - just a few hours and see how she goes. Yippee!!

Wonderful to hear such good news. We went to the beach this morning as well; there is nothing like a large empty stretch of sand to bring out the puppy in a dog. Bess is now crashed out - she didn't even stir when the window cleaners started work.

Excellent news. Rehab seems to take for ever, but if we do it 'by the book' then there is light at the end of the tunnel :)
