Well, what do you expect from me?! [IMG]

An odd thought has got stuck in what passes for my mind so I thought I'd share ......
why do yellow Labs have dark under-the-tails yet black Labs have a glowing pink one?
Did they swop in the cue?
What about chocolate Labs - anyone know?

Charlie's "edge" :) colourings are milky chocolate (or pale liver, but that's not as nice) - I think they can vary in choc labs though, I've seen some nearly black.

A funny thing, when Charlie needs a poo, his bum under his tail goes paler! ;D ;D ;D we call it his "poo bum" - it's very handy, when you are rushing to get to work and so wondering if he needs a poo and is trying to find magnetic North, or is just messing around!

;D.red fox labs seem to have nice pale under the tail regions, or at least cuilli does .....and i did giggle at ' poo bum' Julie...when Im in the communal garden round the back of my flat night on bedtime wee trip, im often fixedly staring at cuillins under tail region, she hates going for a poo in the communal garden and is quite tense there at night so desparately keen to rush back in as soon as possible but i can tell by the colour of her under tail region whether she needs to stay out a bit longer...its known as ' poo bum' in our house too....

    Such a gross topic...

Penny's under tail area is pink. Haven't noticed it be a different colour when she needs a poo but it does stick out while she's running around trying to find the perfect place!

Rileys (he's a black lab) is hardly noticeable unless he needs a poo when it gets markedly lighter

Holly's a yellow lab with a pink "under tail area". We know when she needs a poo because we see a full stop.

    Work it out :)

We definitely have a visible pink area when in need of a poop - and a wonky walk to go with it, at double speed, until we reach the perfect spot.

Yup. ;D ;D ;D and a little squeak if that otherwise perfect pile of leaves isn't quite aligned, so must be rejected, according to the god of dog poop spots mystic orders...

I always watch out for the 'under tail' action as a signal for whether or not to whip out my plastic bag. Quite useful, really :)

    Spaniels sound much more discreet....
