both my girls are in season.

they started within 2 days of each other, the older one first.

i don't' take my dogs out when they're in season. we have a large enough garden and enough for them to do and be mentally stimulated without having to have to take the risk. i don't like the effect it has on male dogs either which i don't think is fair on their owners if i can help it.

anyway that's not the problem. the problem is that they love each other just a little too much.

the humping is constant. little one humping older one for two days. she stood for it, flagged and let it happen just as many times as E dog wanted to do it. lots of unsavoury licking before and afterwards.

now E is getting it, i suspect it's right when they're at their most fertile.

The amount they're trying to do it is getting unsettling and with young kids around it's a subject i'm not happy to have right at the forefront just as you're serving dinner.

"get off her you dirty dog"

i know, i accept it's only natural but thank god it's not Christmas or Easter and the family are round. if hd wasn't going to get spayed already this would get me booking the appointment.

i am only moaning ;D no questions etc but umpf. :-[

I move from finding it hilarious to disconcerting.

more tea vicar? one hump or two?

perhaps this should have gone in behaviour rather than health. sorry if it's mis-filed.

Now, you can't write about it in an amusing way and not raise a chuckle ;D When the vicar comes round, just hide behind the curtains.

Hope the love dies down soon.

Sorry made me giggle too...before i got brodick de plumbed my two were quite spectacular humpers of each other, even tho cuillii had been spayed. I once came into the lounge to find them at it, cuilli was humping brods and brods was enthusiastically humping away as well , got cuilli off and they both just carried on Air Humping madly...like a scene from a high school comedy. Happily a thing of the past now...

I really don't like humping! I just find it very annoying. Luckily we don't suffer much. New mats are the only trigger really now.

Poor you...not much you can do about it in that situation though. :(

Oh dear, I do see the difficulty (all too well).... Especially with kids around. A bit wearing to try to continually distract either dogs or kids, and answering questions, and as for the vicar, well.... :D ;D

I hope they go back to being "just friends" again soon...

Lol this is so hard NOT to laugh at. As a mum of seven I can only imagine the questions being shot your way. Lol. I am cringing at the thought but laughing as well. Lol

Thankfully no humping here yet. But our kitten has just come into season for the first time and oh boy the singing is unbelievable. Had to lock her in a crate and in the garage last night poor thing. But the noise was horrendous.

    Hope it all stops soon.

For a moment there, I was thinking High School Musical as opposed to high school comedy... I don't think that helped me curb my fits of laughter AT ALL. ::)
