Had a lovely two hours at west wittering beach this afternoon with Otis, just love him to bits, he hooned around, there were so many dogs out, and he had a great time saying hello and making friends. I was glad to see he still loves water, he raced through a huge rock pool, and although he didnt swim ( the tide was right out, and maybe a little cold ? ) he clearly loves water. He was fine as always in the car and on the bus, just lying down and being great. He does do some trash collecting as we are walking along, crisp packets etc, doing his bit to keep the streets tidy ! He had his dinner as a picnic, at east wittering just before coming home. His house training still isnt perfect, but a lot lot better, probably about one wee every other day indooors, and usualy my fault. I was a bit worried about his weight, at 19kg, and ten months, but he is taller than some fully grown labs, he is just lithe and leggy, Im sure he will fill out as he matures. He is a chewer not a swallower, and I regualarly do a tidy up of all the bits and pieces that he has been trashing and chewing, but I think it would be worse if he swallowed things. He is a truly lovely dog, and we have a deep bond. Maggie X

Re: Lovely Day with Otis. Love West Wittering! The beach is split Barbara, dogs allowed in one direction (towards East Head) but not the other. Though I think that may not apply out of season/early morning? Should probably put the link in the dog friendly section...
