Took Charlie to the paddock this morning - absolutely freezing! He can now sit and wait whilst I walk a good 30 meters away with the squeaky ball. Whilst I was doing this a neighbour and his very aggressive collie that has attacked a sheep and a local dog which needed vet treatment. He walked along the gated walkway stood and watched us, whilst his collie was growling very loudly. Charlie did not budge and watched me the whole time until I called him (manually), he came whizzing over for the ball. Brilliant work Charlie and with distractions too!! :D Neighbour walked through with said dog and said to me "very impressive indeed" :D , Charlie went over to say hello, I called him off immediately knowing the potential danger, he came back and lay down, told him to "wait" and "leave it" when he went to move - he lay down beautifully watching fly the collie until she had gone through the gate then I released him. Although I was rather concerned that he did let Fly off lead knowing what she is like. This is the third dog I have been able to recall him immediately from even though he just wants to say hello and play but they are very old dogs so they just don't need it. Very proud of our boy and yes it would appear he does have more than 2 brain cells to rub together!!!!! ;D chuffed, chuffed and a bit more chuffed. Helen xxx

Good Boy Charlie! And well done you. Wish my two were as good as him, seeing the outcome of all you hard work and sticking to it has inspired me to really get cracking on my young man's non existent recall around wildlife...well impressed!

Good job Charlie!! It took forever to get Skyler to ignore squirrels and such, let alone another dog!!
