So we got our puppy Lana a week ago and she is 9 weeks now . The problem is that she will only poop at night. She doesn't go during the day despite many opportunities. Her poop is also really soft almost loose. She is feed three times a day. Any ideas would be great she is doing really well with the rest of her potty training.

Hi there, and welcome to the forum :) As you can't make your puppy empty her bowels during the day, only encourage and reward her, the answer probably lies in preventing her from pooping at night. Where does Luna sleep at night? And if she is in a crate, how big is the crate? Also, what time is her last meal of the day?

PS - we love puppy photos :)

Luna sleeps in a medium crate by our bed at night. We also have a larger one we use during the day that has a divider in it so its just big enough to sleep in. Haven't had a problem with her messing the crate past the first day, thank goodness I'm a light sleeper
;) Luna gets her last meal about 5pm then out a few more times before we go to bed about 10pm she usually has me up about two hours later and she will do both then again two to four hours later to do both again! Merle

OK, I misunderstood you and thought she was having accidents in the house. It isn't unusual for puppies to poop when they are taken out at night. Especially if they are a bit 'loose'. It sounds as though you are doing everything right :) It's probably just her immature digestive system together with the stress of moving home. I suspect she will settle down into a routine of sleeping at night quiet soon

Let us know how you get on
