Welcome indeed! No, you will never forget Tia, but Cassie will be your new friend, in a different but also lovely way.

My son is now back from his three-month volunteer work in Nepal, and he and I scattered Bones' ashes on Sunday down the garden, and shed a few tears as we did so. The daffodils which I planted with a handful of his ashes are just starting to poke out of the ground. Life goes on; Poppy was scampering around in the sunshine while we shared reminiscences about our dear old Bones. No, we never forget our old friends, but Poppy has helped us immensely.

Thank you to everyone who wrote kind words when Bones died; people who don't have dogs just don't really understand how painful it is, but you have to grieve and then eventually let go.
