How do I insert a hyperlink using an emboldened phrase and not the full link?

    You have to do this:

Edit: I've changed this because what I suggested at first wasn't working.

in here paste the text that you want visible

But with no spaces around the equals sign. Everything else the same as I've typed it, square brackets etc. The text you want visible won't come up bold but underlined.

I can only get it to work if I put the link in the first half; the word in the second half?

Changed my instructions too. I did get it wrong at first. I'm an idiot, sorry. :)

Was messing it up with how you can name the author of a pasted in quote which is:
Words you want to quote in here
Which, without the spaces, gives:

Seemed to have to edit out an extra bracket with Quote in it though (not sure why - will try again)

Thanks for the advice and glad that I am not the only one to have had problems. MS Office has a much simpler solution.
