Lauren, could you perhaps place yourself a little way from the school out of the way and C&T Penny for good behaviour whilst the children are coming and going into school? When you have established calm behaviour you could move a little closer each week or so. As for joggers and cyclists I would think the same sort of thing, get her to sit when you see one approaching C&T quickly with some high value treats. Just my thoughts and I am a novice after all. I bet Rachael will have good tips :) x

Lauren I've had a shocker today.....totally deaf dog ,looming after after every dog on a lead that came into view, leaping 6 feet in the air to grab the ball thrower like a nutcase......I was out for an hour and half and he's exhausted me!the only thing that has stopped me sending him back to Scotland today is he stayed perfectly in a sit when a cat walked past.....I almost didn't try he'd been so naughty so by luck rather than judgement we came home friends :D ;D ;D .....he's had a reprieve but he knows the airport is only 20 mins away! ;)

Yep, that's exactly what I'm going to do. Start from across the street I think as she's fairly good unless they're in close proximity. I think she's just scared of them as we've had a couple of incidents now where they've come up behind us out nowhere and those silly scooters are quite noisy. We've got a yellow ribbon and 'I need space' bandana so we will be also wearing that when walking near the shool.

Sounds like an excellent plan - take it slowly.

If you have a friend / neighbour with trustworthy children, see if you can borrow them and their bikes and / or scooters for fifteen minutes at a time too. Then you can position yourself somewhere nice and quiet whilst they ride by. It'll make it a little closer to the walk situation, when it is a single distraction passing in an otherwise calm situation. Just make sure they understand not to come too close to start with.

I'm with you on those scooters - I fear for my ankles at times!
