Just out of interest what colour would you most associate with a search and rescue dog along with the handler. It will be interesting to see what is the most commonly associated colour.

Re: What colour would you associate with a search and rescue dog ? Very interesting what people think. The qualified dogs coats are orange, for obvious reasons that they stand out and are recognised so that farmers do not shoot them. The coats for dogs in training can be any colour or style as it is just for training purposes only. Our teams clothing is actually blue, no one had picked that which is understandable as you would not associate blue with SAR. All other NSARDA teams are red, we are separate for a number of reasons, but there is no need for our team to change.
