Sam is 18 months old tomorrow . When he was a pup , I tried to be sensible re exercise , was worried about doing harm to joints but didnt want to restrict him too much . I did a nine mile walk raising money for the Animal Health Trust back in March 2012 , Sam came along but I didnt take him all the way as he was only nine months old . This spring/early summer I want to try a half marathon and would love my furry pal to go all the way , do you think this will be alright if I gently build up his walking like I have to do :
Re: A very long walk, is it alright now ? I don't know. We certainly did 9 miles plus with Lady when she was 2 but that was on holiday in Cornwall around Zennor and took in a lunch break and several longish stops to look at the view.
