It's 8pm in Adelaide.. Zulu had a nice play, dinner and toilet.. Now he's faaaaast asleep. I'll wake him up around 10pm for toilet, then again at 1am and 345am and 545am, hope it goes well :)

A colleague of mine just got her Border Collie puppy on the weekend and she is looking like a shattered wreck :) The puppy looks great (he came in to work today so I showed them both what a clicker was all about).

Well another reasonably good night with Zulu.

Although my alarm was set for 1am, he woke up at 12:30am, so tomorrow night ill adjust my alarm slightly. Sleeps of about 2 hour intervals seem about right (for now).

The 3am and 4:30am wake ups went well. Zulu dragged himself out of bed, then hurried back to bed. He did mumble and moan slightly, but then i went to sit beside his crate (for a minute or two) and he settled and went to sleep.

Thanks.. it really does seem that Zulu's sleep times are limited to the length of time he can hold his bladder...

Any ideas when this time starts to increase?

Harley started sleeping 12-5am around the second week we had her then went from 12-7am at about 13 weeks old then by 5 months was 11pm-7am. Every dog is different though so this might not be the case for you. I did find she slept longer when I changed her from sleeping in her rate downstairs to sleeping on her bed next to our bed (but usually ends up on our bed!)

Drift was as Naya's Harley. Except that he slept until I woke him at 8pm and he has been like that ever since. The first week was hard though when I had to get up at 6am!
