think still eating cat poo/ or in woods suppose may be fox poo, trying to stop her from doing it but cant always get to her quick enough. nothing else has changed her food, treats etc still the same. she is very lively and happy (her normal self). poo's are not watery runs but not firm but on and off. yesterday pm i took her out and poo was fine but this am my husband took her out and he was first bit was firm then loose. willow is 6 months now. should i take her to the vets ?? she is due her wormer tomorrow. NO worms in her poo we check each time. could it just be the cat/fox poo she is eating?
Re: week on and still on and off loose poos Could still be the poop. Is it soft all through or does it start firmer? I remember others have posted that overfeeding can make dogs loose. If you are worried about her a word with the vet might reassure.

Re: week on and still on and off loose poos If eating fox or cat poo was affecting her, the poo it would all be very loose. More likely to be over feeding, have you checked the food and what amount you should be feeding for her age. Is she still on puppy food? This is quite high protein. Something that might help, try some pro-biotic yogurt in the food a couple of spoofuls. Helps restore the natrual flora in the gut.
Re: week on and still on and off loose poos If the poo is soft only off and on I wouldnt worry too much. Try feeding chicken and rice for a few days. We done this when nero had runny poo and it cleared up
Re: week on and still on and off loose poos All I can say on this subject is that most worms are naked to the human eye so you can not always tell if your dog has worms, our vet told us this. Have you considered putting a muzzle on her when she is running around in the woods so she can not get to eat the poo, it may not look the nicest option but if it stops her from eating forbidden poo then it should help, she would not need it on when she is on lead only when she is off lead. We have a dog at training that has to do the same as he eats stones, the car park where we train is all gravel and given the chance he would eat gulps of it, its just a strange habit he has picked up from being a rescue who came to the center starved.
