Yesterday returning from a shopping trip I was met in the front hall by a friendly, happy Molly. The only problem with this is that I thought I'd left her safely tucked up in her crate. Clearly NOT. She had shredded a photo from my bookcase and pinched and chewed up a memory stick off my desk. But she hadn't attacked my books, shredded my chair, chewed up the furniture or torn up the floor. Reading other member's experience I reckon I got off very lightly. She had that lovely 'just got out of my bed warmth' about her when we got home so I reckon she'd nipped out of her crate, had a snack and gone back in. Clearly she is happy in her crate. Not so much a labrador behaving badly, but a human, me
Re: Oops hhmmm....a few times I thought I must not have left Charlie safely secured (luckily I was at home everytime - otherwise he would have chewed the entire house, so yes, I think you got off lightly) - only to find out that he had worked out how to operate the catches! The door is tied up with nylon webbing now...
Re: Oops The damage bill sounds pretty small compared to the potential Hope the photo isn't an irreplaceable one.
Re: Oops I was tucked up in bed while reading this.... But just broke off to go downstairs and double check I'd locked Buddy's pen- luckily I had, but I think we all need to get into the habit of double checking. So glad your damage was minimal!
Re: Oops Oh poor Tina and clever Molly hope it gets resolved soon...Cooper too was a chewer nd likes to chewoff slippers and my scooter's seat i had it replaced for more than 4 times though all tat has stopped now except for the slipper part i always keep an eye on him and check on him often wenever he is out to see if he upto something since he sleeps under the scooter. i realize something is wrong wen there is an errie silence outside and wen i check out i will be greeted wid the chewed off stuff all this was wen he was a puppy and it was hilarious even now im a lil careful but it doesnt happen....he has grown out of it...
