What is the best weight range for scale for weighing Labrador puppies? (in grams!) What is max weight it should be able to record and what graduations do you need to record daily weights?

    Thanks

    Re: Weighing Puppies

This is a difficult one to answer because although all Labradors , they vary hugely in build, bone structure etc . so its practically impossible to give an " ideal " weight at any given age .
I never weighed Sam myself , the only times he has been weighed is at the Vets , I think its better to concentrate on how they look , do they look too skinny or too podgy etc . Once nearing adulthood , a Lab should have a defined waistline when viewed from above, you should be able to feel ribs but not see them :)

    Re: Weighing Puppies

Sorry went on holiday and didn't see reply! DOH!

However I was meaning what kind of scale is best for weighing puppies in a litter for the first 8 weeks? how accurate do the scales need to be - 1gram increments or less for weighing every couple of days? and what should the minimum and maximum weight range be?

    Thanks
