It's only three steps, one pace, a gate and three more strides to the woodshed but to fill the log basket (fourth trip today) it's wise to put on long boots (snow over the top of walking boots), a heavy fleece (to prevent hypothermia) and a hat (to stop the blasted stuff getting in your eyes and down your neck). Now to my girls putting on all this gear means a walk! They're so let down when I come back ten minutes later and take it all off again, seriously not best pleased Labradors, oh well only another.........
Re: The problem with snow I'm living wiith a couch potato. What's black 5 ft long when at full stretch and completely blocks the fire place?
Re: The problem with snow Oh, if only (we don't have an emoticon for a whilst full look, but image if you will.) Surely at full 5 foot stretch she's a long thin streak of nothing, can't possibly block the whole fire? And being a Labrador she'll be flat out. Now until you've had a Wolfhound firehog you don't know the half of it! Three foot tall, five foot long, the perfectly designed fire guard ;D Labradors soon learn, under the belly and the rest of us shiver.
Re: The problem with snow Charlie lays full length wedged up against the AGA, don't think he's used to our cold old house yet poor boy!!! very difficult to cook too!!! Helen
Re: The problem with snow It's snowing hard here this morning and was minus five degrees when we ventured into the garden. Poppy and I have gone back to bed!!!
Re: The problem with snow Don't blame you. It's snowing here again so just off to brave it!!! Helen x enjoy zzzzz ;D
Re: The problem with snow Brodick gets completely mesmerised by the fan heater at the bottom of the radiator in the lounge just now. So mesmerised he wouldnt notice me getting fully dressed, waiving a lead, and leaving with Cuillin...its great actually, if they are hoolying about and I want them to calm down I can just put the fan heater on and Brods stops whatever he is doing instantly and goes and lies in front of it, staring unblinkingly at it with a sort of Karmic Haze look on his face as his fur grows hotter and hotter...I have to keep an eye on him or he would singe....
