Didn't know what to do today, as we came round a corner we saw 6 dogs. All know to us but not seen together before. Anyway Amy was terrified, she was still on lead and either pulling me over to get away or refusing to move at all. There was no where for me too go to avoid them. All dogs where really well behaved and where put on their leads when they seen us. I wondered if it was because she was still on her lead she was nervous? Full on tail under her and shaking. Anyway, I hope I did the right thing. I let her off her lead so she could see them. She looked much happier then and had a quick hello, then it put her back on lead and we went on our way What would you have done?
Re: Amy was frightened. Maybe it was the shock of being faced with them all at the same time. At least it ended up a happy encounter and I think you did the right thing allowing her to say hello. I'd have done the same thing.
Re: Amy was frightened. You did the right thing Jade , dogs usually feel more threatened when onlead , as they are restricted and less able to defend themselves should they need to , glad all ended well for both of you
