Poor Holly has been sick for the last 24 hours. The poor pup has been vomiting bile. She's eating and pooping normally. We took her to the vets tonight and they think it's just something she's scavenged that has disagreed with her. Her poor tummy keeps creaking, and she keeps looking pitiful whenever we move. Now we have to starve her for 24 hours.
Re: Holly's Sick Poor Holly Did the vet give her anything? Hope she improves soon. I always hated the starving bit....not least as Lilly doesn't drink and gets most her fluids in with her kibble.
Re: Holly's Sick The vet gave her an injection to stop her feeling sick, and some antibiotics as a precaution. If she's still sick in the morning we have to take her back.

Re: Holly's Sick She looked miserable last night. Didn't want to drink so we gave her some ice cubes to crunch. She hasn't been sick overnight so she's just had a small portion of chicken and rice. If she keeps it down she can have a bit more at lunchtime.
Re: Holly's Sick Poor little Holly. This sort of thing does happen with pups, I am afraid. Yes, starving for 24 hours and then a slow reintroduction of easily-digested food. She'll probably be bouncing around all over the place by tomorrow
Re: Holly's Sick Poor little girl, agree with Karen, that's what I did when Charlie was sick and for nearly 2 weeks and bounced right back. Take care xx
Re: Holly's Sick She's had little bits of chicken and rice every few hours and seems to be keeping it down. She even managed a small play after tea, but has flopped again. We'll keep giving her a little food every few hours and try to introduce proper food tomorrow night.
