Given how pleasant the weather was yesterday afternoon we decided to walk to the pub with Harvey and have a drink in the beer garden (water only for Harv!). Anyway, there we were, the three of us sat outside enjoying our drinks, when I spot something unusual - a goat walking along the footpath towards the pub! As he came further into view it became apparent that he was actually on a lead and was being walked to the pub The man and the goat sat at the table next to us (well, ok, the man sat there and the goat stood next to it ). Harvey being Harvey decided that he would like to go and introduce himself to the goat. However, the man looked a little concerned at this prospect so we stayed put and Harv watched from around 8 feet away. Great socialisation for Harvey but, I have to say, a little embarrassing for me - the goat walked to heel better than Harvey does! :
Re: Unexpected socialisation event Made me chuckle, someone taking their goat for a walk to the pub!! Brilliant experience for a pup though! Penny's never seen a goat, or sheep as we never had the opportunity to take her someone where they are - mostly just cows and horses around by me.
Re: Unexpected socialisation event I think I would have killed myself laughing. I wonder how often the goat gets out for a walk ;D ;D
Re: Unexpected socialisation event Brilliant! I'd have thought someone had slipped 'something' in my pint if I saw a goat walking to heel into the pub! ;D
Re: Unexpected socialisation event Wonder if the goat has ever pulled on lead... What a great opportunity
