Well this morning has already been more eventful than i had hoped! I brought murphy up this morning as I always do to have a snuggle on the bed before me and oh get up. Murphy seemed quite subdued and then suddenly started heaving and wretching, and threw up 2 big lots of bright yellow bile (sorry if you are eating your breakfast) and with the second lot a rubber bouncy ball about the size of a table tennis ball flew out! The thing is I have never seen that ball before and neither has my dog walker so i am worried that there is other stuff he could have eaten without me knowing. My sister reckons i should still take him to the vets in case he has any other 'foreign bodies' that could be stuck. He hasnt done his morning poo and he had a bit of a runny bum last night now that i think of it... Hmm Just going to keep an extra close eye on him!
Re: Just threw up a bouncy ball Oh they are such a worry.... He doesn't necessarily have anything else in there but any more vomiting, straining to poo and definitely any unwillingness to eat would have me heading to the vet's. Gotta love yellow bile on the bedspread first thing in the morning....
Re: Just threw up a bouncy ball Was eating my dinner not my breakfast Frankie by the time I've caught up today ;D.....pretty spectacular hey? Hope he was ok as the day went by?the more I hear and read of these events the more it amazes me that their bodies do process things in the most unbelievable way.....of course the preference is for them to never consume them in the first place but they do seem to often eject them from one end of the other quite efficiently :
Re: Just threw up a bouncy ball Hi everyone, Murphys ok thank you. Hes been fine today luckily. It is funny the things they eat! It just freaked me out thinking what else has he eaten that i dont know about lol. Thanks all
Re: Just threw up a bouncy ball I'm so glad Murphy is fine. When the vet handed over a mobile phone case after removing it from the intestine of my (sadly missed) lab Teddy, I hadn't even registered that I had misplaced it....Labs do eat the weirdest things without you even knowing!
