Re: Teeth cleaning - top tip (maybe) I'm afraid I must disagree with your vet, Lynne. Dry food is better for teeth than wet food but it doesn't clean the outside of the teeth. Chews and brushing will Good to hear that Jasper has naturally sparkling gnashers though
Re: Teeth cleaning - top tip (maybe) Teeth cleaning disciple just checking back in ;D ....some of you will know I'm religious about it and do it every day .....it wasn't always so easy when he was a pup but repitiion, patience ,and consistency plus our own unique method have helped me. I brush with a human tooth brush and dog toothpaste but the best piece of my kit is a little sock that I put over my finger and I can really get down to the back now and around his big back teeth and gums....I could do with a replacement one to be honest and haven't been able to find one but my Mum's friend said to check out Mothercare around the teething equipment/ age range as she thinks she's seen something that would do the job in there.I got a few nips in the early days just by being in the wrong place in his mouth but I know what to expect now and we do it quite efficiently.
Re: Teeth cleaning - top tip (maybe) I have never been to a vet that advised teeth cleaning, hence I had never heard of it when I got Hattie I do know kibble will not clean teeth though, however I do give totally consumable bones and chews, Fish4Dog treats to help with teeth cleaning
