Our little rescue girl has ( had ) very thick, quite curly long hair, fine for winter but as its warming up , I decided it was time for a cut . I wouldnt send her to a groomer as its taken the ten months we have had her to really build up a good trusting bond , so given that I worked in a breeding kennels at weekends as a student nurse and learned to clip standard poodles , I thought , how hard can it be : : : It wasnt easy , but she amazed me by being reasonably good until I tried to do round her face , that didnt go down too well, but on the whole , not too bad a job done and its taken years off her too
Re: Millie had a haircut today I saw you handy work with the clippers on Facebook, Kate and decided to have a go myself with some clippers I've had for years but never really used. Caddie was starting to look like a mop since she was spayed last year with her once sleek and short coat growing longer and longer (very common in neutered spaniels ) so I set to work and I must say she looks so much better and so much younger now. Really pleased with the result!
