Hooray - I'm off on holiday tomorrow! 10 day tour of the Middle East - Abu Dhabi, Dubai, and Oman... Can't WAIT for a bit of sunshine and warm seas, had enough snow for a while!! Poppy is staying with her new best friend Stella. They are almost indistinguishable: Bye for now! Karen
Re: Holiday Have a great time in hopefully slightly warmer surroundings. I lived in Oman from 1979 to 1986. It's a lovely and beautiful country with very nice people - very warm and welcoming. I expect it's changed a lot since I was there but only as far as better hotels, roads and facilities I expect. Enjoy!

Re: Holiday Safely back home - it was great, especially the sunshine and warmth - and David is right, Oman is wonderful, a very beautiful country, and the Omanis are gracious and friendly. And it seems Poppy had a wonderful time with Stella - they got on very well and spent most of their time playing together. I'm very glad to have her back with me now though, I missed her! Ho hum - it's still snowing here though. Don't think I can put the snow shovel away quite yet...
