Me and my mum were talking about this the other day cause her Jack Russell is always bobbing in and out of nettles and they don't bother him, whereas Lola stuck her nose in some once and spent a good 5 mins rubbing her nose on the cold wet mud! Maybe it has something to do with the coat as Jack has a long wiry coat?

Interesting. I might have said no, since Lilly seems to LIKE pooping in nettles ::) ::)

hmmm...thinking about it, Charlie does tend to avoid the newer tummy level height ones - but charges through the big old tall ones without a bother on him. Maybe the bottom of the older ones get a bit more twiggy, and the upper fur is more protective.
