I was going to bath Oatsy, his coat was all fluffy from moult and a bit dandruffy. however we have just had fun , having a vigouros grooming session, a whole poo bag of fluff, so is it the time of year ? Losing his winter coat ? He really enjoyed it between biteing the brush and playing with his snake, Im sure he will be a lot less itchy now, and saves me a bit of sweeping up ! Might still give him a bath, for the fun factor, he hasnt had one for aabout six months, and he quite enjoyed it last time, will use very mild puppy shampoo. Maggie x
Re: Time of year ? Lilly is moulting a bit too at the moment. I'm not very good at the brushing, though I do have a zoom groom that I use now and again. Hope you enjoy your bath ;D Do you put Oatis's fur out for the birds nesting?
Re: Time of year ? Hi Jac, Id never heard of putting his fur out for nesting birds, lovely idea. If Lily starts scratching, Id get the brush out. xx
Re: Time of year ? Harley is moulting loads at the minute so I think it is the time of year. I don't brush her often as she constantly tries chewing the brush :
Re: Time of year ? I have to say I haven't noticed Penny moulting too badly since we've had her. The worst seems to be about a week or so before she comes into season, but even then a quick going over with a slicker brush every other day seems to sort it.
Re: Time of year ? Mira started to moult about 3 weeks ago and I was dreading the cleaning up at the holiday cottage we were at last week :-\ However, spending about 45 minutes per day running in and out of the sea seemed to get rid of all the moulting hair. She was sleek and shiny and we never had to brush her all week. Two days after we got home it all started shedding everywhere again, although I think she is past the worst. Wish we lived a bit closer to the sea. The birds here get dog and human hair as we have a hairdresser friend who come to the house to cut our hair
