What's the difference between Labrador and Labrador Retriever

    Today evening I was doing some research and got across two different terms ie. ''Labrador '' and ''Labrador retriever ''.. So What's the difference between these two..

    No difference at all, one is just a shortened version of the other :)

    In English, the name labrador retriever is the "official name", but for ease (or laziness :D ) we shorten it to labrador, or if we are being really lazy, just say lab.
    Same breed of dog, just a shortening of the name.

    As Pippa says they are both the same thing and we don't identify whether or not dogs are labradors from photos on this forum under forum rules in particular section 1f:

    1f) Requests for confirmation of pedigree/ID Forum members may not post photographs of their dogs for the purpose of asking other members to confirm that their puppy/dog is a pedigree dog.
