... a really good dog shampoo that gets rid of smelly stuff? I've never had to bath Barney, an occasional rinse off with the hose has sufficed along with periodic application of tomato puree to get rid of fox poo hum but yesterday Rusty discovered he's a labrador and decided to go wading in the river - right where it's really weedy and slimy. He stunk to high heaven Obviously the start of things to come so any help much appreciated! I thought you'd like to see the damage - be glad scent doesn't get captured in pictures!
Re: Can anyone recommend... Hi Carole I don't bath my dogs very often, but when I do, I use Johnson's baby shampoo! I am not supposed to recommend it because it isnt made for dogs.... so this is me not recommending it! I also think he looks especially cute with mud on his nose! Pippa
Re: Can anyone recommend... Looks like Barney had a lovely time. We use Canac shampoo, and it works just fine. Smells a bit odd though!
Re: Can anyone recommend... I picked up some baby shampoo this week, for me of course because it's not for dogs but when Rusty got absolutely black in river slime again today and very stinky I gave it a go... then got all worried because I'd picked up relaxing - and it smelled of lavender - oh no is he going to smell like a wossy dog on his first day at gun dog school tomorrow but of course I needn't have worried he escaped the shallow thing I was using as a bath and ran straight back down into the shallows and the slime and was worse than when I started. I'm beginning to feel like a single parent to a teenager!
