For liking the smell of wet dog : Sam has just had his first swim of the year , he only got brave enough to go in when he was about 12 months old last Summer but today its like spring here, really mild and sunny . I took him to the river and he looked and more looked, then with a giant splash, in he went, now steaming nicely , I love that smell

Re: Am I odd ........... OK, now that's just odd. ;D So yes! Although I have a friend who sniffs dogs ears (chocolate and cheese apparently !?!) and my mum adores the smell of sleepy dog foot . So who am to judge....

You know, when they're sleepy and the feet are warm that's when Mum will pick up a foot and inhale the pads, I know where those feet have been I'm not putting my nose anywhere near them, thank you very much . Apparently the aroma ranges from glove leather (Juno) to popcorn (Hebe) with warm duffle coat thrown in for good measure (Finn)! Although not at the moment though as the dog yard has been amilliotoxed so they smell of antiseptic instead.

Re: Am I odd ........... Have you ever stood in a supermarket check out queue, wearing your dog coat, covered in slobber and Lord knows what else , and noticed people sniffing the air ? I do wash my dog walking togs from time to time but my goodness, they dont half get a bit ripe
Re: Am I odd ........... Lizzie goes for her swimming lesson on Saturday mornings, Ben takes her, its their thing. I meet them and some friends for late breakfast afterwards....all very civilised. This morning I was running late so went in my dog walking clothes including ratty old Barbour with dummies(for the dog) in one pocket and nappies in the other. I did get some funny looks ;D I mostly sniff Riley's ears.....mmmmm

The worst thing is when you go to get something from your pocket and out cascades the dog paraphernalia, dog treats, whistles, half-chewed-something-no-longer-identifiable and soggy tissues (from wiping the slobber from your hands) and to crown it all a poo bag, (please, god let it be empty). With luck it's at the feed merchant and not the super smart deli :
