Okay Izzy is 13 weeks tomorrow

She has been pooing and weeing outside from day one. Of course we had the odd wee accident inside but she has never pooed in the house. We have had no accidents in two weeks. She has been taking herself outside if the door is opened and we follow or we have been bringing her out. But this morning she poo on the floor in the kitchen. I am really shocked as I thought if you got to 12 weeks with no poos they never would. Why would she have done this and now what do I do??

She has been doing great till now and I really can't go backwards ! What do I do ?? Thanks a lost puppy owner !

Don't panic - she is just a baby still, she just forgot, that's all (assuming she hasn't't got an upset tum and it was an "emergency poo").

Just keep doing what you are doing - always go with her, always reward outside, and it'll all come good.

I know you have your hands full CareBear, but pups are like children they just get upset tums from time to time.

You've done very well for this to be your first poo accident, and that is what it is your toddler having an accident.

Could be something as simple as the last few days heat upsetting an immature digestive system.

Don't worry, we thought we had got there with our pup, and he did have the odd accident, even at 13 weeks, got me scratching my head at the time, but looking back I think I worried too much! First time mum syndrome I think. I wouldn't worry as long as the poo looked fairly normal! ::)

Okay I will just carry on as if it didnt happen ! Yes i do have my hands full with a 10 month old a 3 and 6 year old and a 13 week old pup.
    Thanks again !

At 13 weeks she is still a very small pup and accidents will happen, perhaps with being so busy you missed the signs thats she wanted go out.
Pups usually put their heads down and start sniffing and circling when they need to go.

    Hi

Maybe but I really don't think I did as the kids weren't up yet and the back door was opened. We have been leaving the door opened and she has been just taking herself on out to do her buiness which we would follow her and praise and treat. Orif the door is closed we bring her out every 30 mins more or less. We have had never have her poop in the house. So I guess I just thought she never would at this stage.

But I have to move on and see how well she is doing. Thanks everyone.
