Re: fuming i have been using cotton wool balls soaked in salt water, it is healing nicely, jasper don't seem to let any thing bother him , he just seems to grin and bare it,....was a bit of a struggle cleaning his nose, he kept turning his head he is having a full tin of sardines for a treat
Re: fuming Poor Jasper!!!! What a fright. I'm sure it bled a lot! I'm sure it'll heal up just fine though. Glad to hear that the owners took it seriously - that is very good!
Re: fuming it did scare me rachael, i thought the owners had heard it all in there garden , apparently they heard nothing, they just thought there dog was just protecting his property, i do feel for them as they live in the end house that lots of dog owners walk past to take there dog onto the field. they was as upset as i was after i had cleaned him up and rested him, i knew i had to go back out for a walk, otherwise our confidence could take a serious knock,he had a good run around with his staffie pal buster i think the blood scared me more than anything i thought his nose had been ripped off, all is well that ends well, thank goodness thank you all for your support xx
Re: fuming Noses do bleed an awful lot - they have a big blood supply (to operate all that high tech sniffing gear that dogs have). So I bet it looked pretty bad at first! Was a good idea to 'get back in the saddle' with another walk I'm glad that one went much better The poor terrier is probably a bit stressed with all the passing traffic it has to 'manage' (in its eyes). It would probably be best off in the house....
Re: fuming we pass this house often, normally he his in the house,it is very hot here at the moment, doors are being left open unlike you rachael we are not used to this hot weather forecast for tomorrow back to rain, at least he still had his afternoon walk/run he is fine now
