Yep, hips quite shallow so not being sent off. No boyfriends for eevee dog, she'll have to be an old maid like honey ;D I dont think its bad enough for her to struggle at least not in the short to medium term.

    still waiting for thyroid.

Well, sorry to hear that your possible ambitions to breed may not realise, but good to hear Eevee herself isn't likely to suffer any ill effects.

When do you get the thyroid results?

Sorry there'll be no Eevee babies, but you are doing the responsible thing. Will you have her spayed?

I don't understand myself on this point.

I'm completely wet about spays. Neither of them are spayed and honey is 2 in august. the thing is that i know how not to get pregnant and the dogs are perfectly happy obeying the rules of no going out until you're not smelling right.

when they were both in season together i was adamant about getting honey spayed but when it came down to it i chickened out.

we're talking about moving in the next year or so. we'll see then i think.

It may be better to have them spayed now while young and healthy, rather than risk pyometra (pus in the uterus) when they are old when they will be ill. Though I understand completely how you feel, have had five bitches spayed over the years, but my last two I chose dogs as couldn't stand the worry of bitches being spayed! However, having been a veterinary nurse it is extremely rare for anything untoward happen.

the vet did say that she wasn't the BVA, couldn't tell me what the score would be and there's a chance that it's not that bad but i'm not so desperate to breed her that i'm going to go any further.

i have question marks over temperament etc and was only doing it in the vague chance that she suddenly calmed down and didn't have her bizarre moments any more. breeding highly strung dogs seems wrong anyway.

truth be told i'm not cut out to be much of a dog breeder. i'll leave it up to karen.

still no news on thyroid. ???

Sorry about the hips, Sarah. What makes you think Eevee might have a thyroid problem?
