During the (more frequent as he gets older) mad moments; we've discovered, by accident, that the horrendous cat scratching post / plaything, affectionately known as furry towers - that lives in our sitting room is a great source of amusement for young Murphy. He's not able to destroy it completely but there's endless fun in trying to; the look on the cat's face was priceless. You would have sworn he was assessing the damage as he walked round and sniffed the thing, throwing the occasional disproving glance over at Murphy - who, of course, was giving the 'Who? Me?' look. So get down to Lidl, grace your house with the tackiest and cheap animal toy known to man and watch your pup vent his spleen on it. Hilarious! We've never once had to modify his behaviour on the furniture that matters. Murphy is now 10 weeks old

Re: Best 'toy' ever After purchasing too many toys, I've found that Cooper's favorite is an empty drinking water bottle.....he crushes them in his mouth, skates on them, pushes them around (they make a lot of noise) but they never crack or shred. I give him one a day and then toss it out at night....next day, he gets a new one....best thing ever if you can stand the noise!

Re: Best 'toy' ever I quite often rinse out plastic milk bottles, squash it and add a few pieces of kibble......it lasts at least 25-30 mins still at 9.5months old

Re: Best 'toy' ever Brilliant! Must get pics of this one but we had an old garden weed collecting bucket thing. Another great Lidl buy. Cut a hole in the bottom, leave the handles on; fantastic play tunnel - at least 20 minutes out of that one.
Re: Best 'toy' ever Funnily enough, I did the handful of kibble in a plastic bottle for Lilly last week. After about an hour I had enough and gave the kibble their freedom (well, for a couple of nano-seconds)
