Such a stunning, beautiful morning here in the Taunus - bright sunshine, azure blue skies, quite deep snow and minus 9 degrees this morning on our early walk! And coming back through the woods, a roe buck and doe stepped out onto the path ahead of us. I just kept Pops by my side, and although she was very interested and quivering, she stayed right with me, no chasing. LOTS of praise and treats, and a very chuffed me! Such a glorious morning, and really happy with my dog. Will even forgive her the mess she made at home yesterday while I was in the office... It is hard for her being alone all day, and I think she was upset because my son has gone back to the States. But the other half is back next week after being away on a three-month contract! Woop!!!! So all things considered, I am a happy bunny this morning, and wish all of my forum friends a lovely day too!
Re: Good to be ALIVE! How wonderful and well done both of you re the wildlife. Spring must be on the way! \have a lovely day together.
Re: Good to be ALIVE! sounds like a gorgeous walk and well done you on getting Pops so good around deer. and well done Pops too...I know how hard that is! Its great when they make you proud of them huh. You go home with a warm glow even if its freezing...
Re: Good to be ALIVE! Thank you! I am hoping this steadiness around wildlife will transfer to steadiness around sheep, as I have just heard that where we are going on our Easter holiday (Tuscany) is surrounded by wandering sheep...
