    Today we found out that puzzle is absolutely terrified of tape measures, have no idea why she just really hates them.

    And i thought i had a fairly normal dog :eek: ::) :p ???

    Looks like another challenge for the clicker, we need to measure her to find a harness that will fit her, but her not liking the tape measure is making this impossible at the moment

    That's really odd! Though I guess you don't really have much cause for socialising a puppy with a tape measure... Certainly not the most obvious thing that springs to mind when you're checking off your puppy list!

    Ah little Puzzle!Dexter isn't scared ,he's just a nuisance ,wanting to look at/ chew the tape measure....when he's in a snooze I measure him ,also with a back up,treat in my hand in case he needs encouragement to stay in position x

    Annabelle, non of my dogs like the metal tape measure I have so I just use one of their leads to measure the dog and then measure it against the tape measure. :D

    Mine don't like it either! Perhaps it looks a bit like a snake to them and that is a genetic fear.

    Just measure round her with a pice of string or garden twine. Then measure it.
