Lady was not happy this morning. Feel like a real heel. We're off for a week in the Lakes with friends, but we can't take her with us so she has to go in kennels. I always find it a huge wrench leaving her, especially when she's a bit reluctant. Hey Ho. Eyes leaking a bit and tight feeling around heart. :'(

Aww I am sure lady will cope - probably better than you!
I hope you have a safe journey, weather is a bit wild.

I sympathise, I haven't been brave enough to put Riley in kennels. I'm sure he would be fine I'm just a bit wet when it comes to leaving him.

Safe journey, hope you have a lovely time :)

She'll be fine David, and you need a holiday and a break, even from your beloved dog, now and then. That said, I know it's hard - we're leaving Poppy this coming week for several days, and I know we will both really miss her... :(

Nothing pulls on the heart strings quite like that sad Labrador face.

Forget about her, she's fine, she will pretend otherwise of course! And in the mean time have a wonderful holiday.

I feel exactly the same about leaving my dog (and my pet ducks!!). Has the same leaking effect.... But they are always fine :) I'm sure she'll be well cared for. Hope you have a wonderful holiday!

when I left Cuillin for her first day in creche, as a wee thirteen week old mite, I couldn't look back when I walked away and had to get my friend to look and see if she was ok. and I blubbed on the way to work. they have a way of worming themselves firmly into our hearts! I'm sure she will be fine too, just very happy to see you home!

Well she isn't missing anything at the moment. The weather is truly arctic. ::)

David, Lady will be fine being fussed over by the kennel girls, try and have a good break even if the weather is arctic. :) Helen x
