Hi there, our black lab is 4 months old. My wife took him to the vets for his monthly check up and the vet gave him 2 worming tablets (he's 12kg) he has come back hyper. I've never sen him like it. He's quite lively normally but this is different. I took him on his usual little walk over the green and he wanted stop jumping up & bitting. Really hyper. I'm now left on my own as my girls are scared of him he is so bad. He is barking and whining. Is this just a side effect of the worming tablets? I'm not sure what brand he had. Has anyone else had this happen?

Re: Hyper after worming tablets & vets Hello, a warm welcome to the forum! I haven't experienced that, no. Maybe he is just excited from his trip to the vet. These pups are all rather random in getting excited I'm afraid. They do grow out of it! Tell us more about your pup. What's his name? Where is he when he is barking and whining?

Re: Hyper after worming tablets & vets Hi there & thanks for the replies. Thankfully he has calmed down now. A restless night but all back to his normal self today. He is excitable on a good day but yesterday was so much worse. Maybe it was a combination of the vets visit & the worming tablets. I'll keep an eye on him next time. This is a great site & has reassured us on many occasions since we brought Barny home. Thanks again guys ;D
