Re: Poor little soul Maybe it is a seasonal thing and she needs a higher dose for a short time? Lots of grass seed and pollen around this year, more than I have ever seen before.
Re: Poor little soul Sorry to hear she has relapsed. However, as the standard dose is 0.5mg/kg/day, and assuming she is about 8kg from photos, she could take 1 daily for weeks without too many worries. So a full one every second day is still half the usual dose, and a half every second day is almost homeopathy! (Not to say I wouldn't have tried her on half every other day too, the lower the dose the better). So don't worry too much, I'm sure your own vet will sort the doses out for you.
Re: Poor little soul Thank you and yes, thats the dose she is on , Vet says to go back to a whole one every other day and if this doesnt work, we will go back onto every day for a week to boost the level , poor little lamb but never mind, anything is better than itching like mad x
Re: Poor little soul Poor little Miss Millie Just a thought Kate, but have you thought about Thornit Powder to put on the places she scratches or nibbles? x
Re: Poor little soul She`s doing very well at the moment Helen , the one tablet every other day seems to be doing the trick and if she needs this through the summer , that fine, no side effects so far Sam sometimes gets mucky ears from swimming and charging about in dense undergrowth , I use Thornit on him, its brilliant stuff
Re: Poor little soul Millie has been drinking an awful lot this afternoon , I know its a side effect of the steroids as is more frequent urination , its a shame that this particular side effect is back once again with a vengeance and hoping it settles down
Re: Poor little soul Poor Miss Millie. I guess that more pee-ing means a more disturbed night for you, Kate. Really hoping this doesn't last too long
Re: Poor little soul Kate I don't want to wish bad weather on you but will the rain take some of the pollen out of the air and help, her?i hope so,x
Re: Poor little soul I think the rain will help, plus its a lot cooler today . The lower the pollen level , the lower her dose can go, so fingers crossed for our little scruffpup , love her to bits
