I take Holly to work with me so cardboard is a no no or we might as well kiss goodbye to anything the delivery guys bring! She's an apple fan so will try add carrots to the anti chew arsenal too.

I'm certain that frozen baby carrots saved me a finger or two! ;)

Absolutely and it does make your house/garden/area you are in look a bit scruffy too ::)

Just to give you hope.......the horrible dog that constantly chewed on me just a few weeks ago now has a 'job'. After I have stuffed her Kongs she likes to lick my fingers clean. Totally gentle.

I have in recent weeks had my hands in her mouth and half way (well it felt like it) down her throat as I rescue yet another inappropriate item, not once have those great big teeth and powerful jaws dome me any harm.

How old was your puppy when they stopped biting? I've been trying some of the suggestions posted. Appears to be working... Still doing the time out thing it's just when she gets overly excited she can get a bit bitey! I have noticed now that when she is calm she does gentle mouth/gum my arm so maybe she's learning something .... ::)

She was between five and six months, it is hard to say.

That sounds so weak. After weeks, if not months of being nibbled by those nasty sharp little teeth and scratched by those sharp little claws, one day I found myself absentmindedly caressing a lovely silky ear. It was fantastic. After so many weeks of sore scratched hands it seemed almost an anticlimax. I felt entitled to applause or something.

It is awful while it lasts, but stick with it. When I was going through it it seemed to last forever, now looking back it doesn't seem so long. Isn't it always the way.

Pongo's crocodile phase began to cool down at 13 weeks. Then by 15 weeks we thought we'd completely cracked it - he never nipped us any more - until my daughter came to stay and he was back to his old tricks with her (I think just really over-excited with a new person to love). Finally it had stopped completely by 19 weeks.

I know all this because I've just looked back over my despairing posts on this forum since Pongo arrived with us in February!

It seems like it will never end, but when you look back at it, it seems like no time at all. Hang in there!
