we have just treated ourselves to a gorgeous new fridge freezer - i never thought i'd be so excited about a fridge but it is great ;D it has one of those ice maker things in the door and already the dogs have identified the sound of a glass pushing the lever back to get ice and they come dashing in. I don't know if it needs adjusting somehow but the ice flies out and bits land on the floor as well as the glass so it's an auto dog treat dispenser as far as the pack are concerned...
Re: ice ice barney Are dogs allowed ice? I know that sounds like a daft question but i read an article today funnily enough that told a story about a woman giving her dog ice to cool in the hot weather and it ended up at the vets as it's stomach spasmed from the ice cold?

Re: ice ice barney given barney once pinched a family size frozen pavlova and scoffed the lot without any untoward reaction I'm fairly comfortable with a few ices cubes ;D ;D ;D he lay in the sun for ages to defrost his tummy ;D
Re: ice ice barney I have one of those! ;D ;D ;D I have to lift the tumble up so it's jammed against the top of the dispenser to stop the ice going everywhere. I love it too!
Re: ice ice barney When we go to our (shared) condo in California the fridge there has one of those....it is SO nice!

Re: ice ice barney Last summer we made a special batch of ice cubes by mixing in some of the powder from the bottom of the kibble bag. This was a big hit with Holly
Re: ice ice barney
Last summer we made a special batch of ice cubes by mixing in some of the powder from the bottom of the kibble bag. This was a big hit with Holly
That was a great tip! I've expanded on that and now save up all the crumbs from the bottom of the salmon strip, sea biscuits, and sea wrap bags. Once I've got a little pile (I just tip the crumbs into a jam jar before I throw the bags away) I make a kong up. Brill idea!
Re: ice ice barney I do tin of tomatoes and water ice cubes but will def save up the kibble powder in future! Outside treat only
Re: ice ice barney
Outside treat only
Charlie manages to scoff his so quickly, there are just a couple of damp patches on his (waterproof) crate mat...not too messy at all.
