We had jerk chicken with salad for supper and dishing up in the kitchen , I dropped a piece of chicken onto the floor . Quick as a flash , the loitering Sam snatched it up and ate it mega fast before it could be taken off him. No time to say LEAVE, it had gone but seconds later , he stared at me like it was my fault that he had eaten something very hot in heat and spice too ::) On close inspection , no damage done to his mouth but I swear he is blaming me, giving me some very hurtful glances , wonder if he has learned a lesson ? Doubtful, its his vice :)

LOL! Poor Sam! Must have been painful for him but you always have an exceptional way of making it all seem so very funny !!! Hugs!

LOL, I am familiar with this scenario.

We are always dropping stuff and yelling "NO, it's HOT......oh he ate it".

Hope Sam has recovered from his run-in with the chicken :)

Despite the fact that Lilly is deaf to all "leave it" commands when out and about, I was glad it worked in the kitchen tonight. I was clearing out my cupboards and decided the EXRA HOT chilli powder was to be binned as it was (well) out of date, and really too hot to taste good.
Clumsy me, I dropped it, it went splat over the floor
Lilly patiently waited til I had cleared it up after she got a pretty sharpish command from me and my daughter ;D
Didn't stop her from licking the floor to clear up the residue. :-\
Don't think there was enough left to cause any after-effects - guess I will find out.

[just remembered this was the chilli powder I mixed with washing up liquid to paint on the edge of the door frame as an anti-chew treatment as a pup - - - surprised now she went ANYWHERE near it LOL]
