I used to go in the very early days and it is still known as Pilton locally (the name of the nearest village). It was fun and everyone cleared their rubbish on the last day; left the field spotless. Now it is a massive commercial enterprise arranged around money and lots of it. 5,000 tents were left behind - abandoned. All very far from the hippie/biker early days. To my mind it has reached rock bottom this year. Some scum not only sneaked a dog in which must have been terrifying for it (there were 100 stages playing live music this year let alone the crowds and general drunken weirdness) but they then abandoned the poor thing and left it behind. Your right Roz taking a dog to Glastonbury in the first place is cruel no wonder it had stayed in the tent must've been terrified. Apart from all the other noise they have massive fireworks on the last night. Biggest I've ever seen. Yes I went once. Never again. TOILETS!!!!! Or lack of them. :-\. I bet I was one of the few who washed their hair at Glastonbury !!! ;D. Thankfully it was hot so a bucket of cold water was quite nice. I went the year Rolph Harris played !!! The year after they had Johnny Cash how cool would that have been. It struck me they've sold out to the money machine from it's origin. I quite like the idea of being a hippy chick but I'd still have had to wash my hair and I like a flushing toilet so maybe not. Poor pup
