    Hi,

I have a 1 year old spayed female yellow lab who suddenly, twice over the past month, has fallen asleep and while sleeping soaked all the bed. I would say she was incontinent, but it doesn't really have the odor of urine. She doesn't even know she's done it, I usually have to wake her up to change the bed and she's usually in a deep sleep when I try and wake her. Has anyone every heard of this before?

    Thanks,
    Conni

Hi Conni, welcome to the forum.

Spay incontinence is not uncommon, though it usually takes a while to develop as it is a result of prolonged low hormone levels. The good news is, it can often be treated successfully with HRT.

However, assuming your dog was only spayed recently, and as she is so young, there could well be some other explanation. Best to get her down to the vets for a check up and a chat.
