hi My puppy is 9 months old & is having her 1st season but just noticed she is just spotting now but it is very dark almost brown, is this normal
Hi and welcome to the forum! The slight spotting and colour are perfectly normal. You will probably find the spotting increases as her body gets into the swing of her first season. Thanks for replying,Sorry forgot to say she is actually 16 days bleeding it had lessened but now spotting a very dark brownish. Is it normal?
A heat cycle typically lasts 21 days, for some bitches 28 days. Many bleed through the entire time. Blood can be all colours from red to brown. You might want to read the Book of the Bitch, which you can get from Amazon.
