My 10 year old daughter will start her first kennel club meeting for 4h Tuesday.
Have any of you been involved with 4h showing? Wondering what we can expect? I'm guessing
we will see all sorts of breeds and mixes.

Wanted to report back. My wife and daughter took pup to the 4h club. He has started general obedience. He's to young to do the fair this year and that's sort of disappointing. He will be able to compete in general obedience next year and agility the following year so that's great. Looking forward to see his progress over the next 3 years.
I feel like this is a great project for my 10 year old daughter. She very dedicated to our barn cats and dogs.

All is going well with 4h. My wife and daughter take him to the kennel club every Tuesday. He will show in general obedience this year. Next year will be obedience/ agility.
    I recommend the 4h dog program. It’s a great
way for kids to bond with the dog. Leading is
still a challenge if he gets excited. To my knowledge the only thing about age is the level of competition. No agility this year.

    What a crazy summer!
We did have the dog show this weekend. Very late but I'm so glade the club
was able to make it happen. My daughter and trumpet did very well. They earned
a 1st in showmanship (only entry in her experience group). A 1st in obedience
and again not many in this class. The big surprise was a 1st in agility!
He did awesome, he had a few deductions for needing to be corrected by leash
but was the clear winner. There was maybe 7 or 8 other dogs ,He's fearless and loves all the obstacles.
Next years big change will be agility with no leash. I'll try and remember to
    report back.
