Re: 7 months old Lab eats silver spoon She must have been trying to 'help' make a cup of tea for her owner but got to enthusiastic about the stirring ;D, I know a labrador that loves to eat tea bags, they are a favorite, better than normal food
Re: 7 months old Lab eats silver spoon Hmm...Simba sprang to mind reading this : Do other breeds of dogs do such stupid acts of eating-induced self harm? Sometimes you wonder what ARE they thinking?!?
Re: 7 months old Lab eats silver spoon I have two amazing stories on this subject. My personal best was xraying a Chihuahua who had swallowed a poker. The owners had been toasting marshmallows on an open fire and the little dog had been licking the end but turned into some amazing circus-standard sword swallower..removed without incident. My OH saw a Labrador one Christmas who came in with a swelling on his back and something firm palpable within it. A quick xray revealed he had eaten a sparkler from fireworks night and it had penetrated the stomach wall and was coming through the muscles of his back. He too was absolutely fine once it was removed. Just Don't let Simba the master-thief read these stories.....

Re: 7 months old Lab eats silver spoon Coincidentally, I have just come across this website... http://www.hairygrowler.co.uk/moon-gazing-hares-silver-spoon-necklace.html A far more beautiful way to Reuse and Recycle silver cutlery. The work this person does is just stunning. I have a particular fondness for moongazing hares.....sigh.....
Re: 7 months old Lab eats silver spoon Unbelievable. Good work for that Lab owner to go with her hunch. The poker swallowing Chihuahua winks a prize in my book.
